This article will be a review of the movie "Baby's Stripped Bare by His Tracker Jacks" which is a feature length film made for children. It was created by the French artist and video artist Delphine Gleize and released in France on September 29th, 2016. Baby's Stripped Bare by His Tracker Jacks is one of many movies that uses clay figures to tell its story. Although clay figures seem very simple, they are actually quite complicated to create as they need to have a good understanding of anatomy before being able to create them. Clay figures can be animated from different angles with their movement being very fluid and lifelike as well as having their emotions carry through without any difficulty (Julien, ). One way the movie was created was through stop motion which involves small movements and changes in positions and taking a photo and putting it together to make it look like the clay figure is moving. Although this method is good for some aspects of film, it is not as accurate as computer animation as can be seen with the speed of movement. Computer animation has the advantage of being able to create things that would be impossible or too expensive to create in stop motion such as dragons for example (Julien, 60). It also uses more technology such as digital cameras and programs so it is easier for people without a background in animation to become involved with making these types of movies (Julien, 60). The clay figures in this movie were made by Delphine Gleize (Julien, 61). She was the one that came up with the idea of clay people and created all the clay figures for this movie. She has studied art at university and was able to create these figures easily as she had a good understanding of the human skeleton (Julien, 61). Her understanding of anatomy is very important when making these types of characters as it would be difficult if not impossible to make them move like humans do if they did not have the correct spine structure for movement (Julien, 61). This also allowed her to show emotions which would be very difficult to accomplish using just facial expressions. Having the correct anatomy also helps if the clay figure is going to be doing some sort of extreme activity as it will allow them to do things their bodies are not capable of. The movie was filmed with numerous techniques such as stop motion, digital animation and visual effects (Julien, 61). Although it is not necessary for all movies to use these methods, they are good for movies that use them as they allow the creation of movies that look like photographs (Julien, 61). These techniques can also help make the movie seem more real as many people see this type of film at film festivals around the world. Scenes can be made to appear like they are happening in real time which seems even more realistic (Julien, 61). The movie uses a montage of different techniques to tell its story as well as the use of music. It uses many different types of shots such as long shots, close ups and medium shots (Julien, 62). By using these types of shots and montages adds a lot to the film and helps create a sense of realism. The music used in this movie is also good as it has an interesting beat to it, but not so fast that it gets annoying (Julien, 62). cfa1e77820
