These videos are about Russian traditional storybook characters. Siberian Mouse (or Masha Babko) is an animated series, created by Tatiana Shitochnikova in 2001. Siberian Mouse tells stories of the adventures of Masha-Boboka (Masha with white fur on her nose). The series was broadcast on the Russian TV channel KinoFond since 2006. The animated films were shot in 2D animation with help of modern 3D technology, they are aimed at children aged 3–7 years old. Siberian Mouse became a champion in the show "Nuestro público. Nuestra fama" of the Russian TV channel NTV. Masha Babko is a cheerful and energetic little mouse who lives in a quiet little house with her kind cat Vanya-Vanya, who is also her best friend. Her arch enemy is a cunning and greedy villain – the bandit Kurbat, who lives in a large city of cats, but often comes to Masha’s village to steal food for his mean cats. Masha always tries to catch him red-handed. She loves nature, animals and adventures. For the first time it was broadcast on TV in the Russian language in the winter of 2006-07. The film became very popular at that time because of its characters, originality of story, music and animation which are transferred to the screen with great charm. Later it was shown not only on TV but has been released on DVD and VHS. The next film was aired in autumn 2007. Though it is more emotional than the previous film, this one also contains quite emotional moments. The second part received a fairly good rating on Russian rating scales “RIA” (Russian Institute of Audience Studies). In the winter of 2008 the third film “Bobok” came out. In this film drama and humour are equally present, there is a lot of action and fight scenes. Masha has to confront a stronger foe – a real bandit called “Kurbat”, who is the leader of a large horde of rats. The success of animated films continues especially in foreign countries: “Masha Babko” is exported to many countries, including Poland, Spain, Finland, Denmark and others. In 2007 an international version was created in Finnish language under the title "Masha Babko Goes To Town". It was produced in Finland, Poland and Russia. In 2009, a cartoon titled "The Legend of Siberian Mouse: The Sound of the Flute" was launched. It is about the magic and power of music and friendship and teamwork. http://www.mashababko.ru/main/index_eng.html http://www.mashababko-moviezyulya2009.ru/main/index_en.html http://tvkinofondu.ru/bobok http://tvkinofondu.ru/sibirskaja_myshka_2 http://tvkinofondu. cfa1e77820
